Just been for an evening walk to Puerto Madero, another 5km for the day. Enroute passed the SUN and Microsoft Argentine head offices.
Thinks that I learned during this stroll
- It gets dark very quickly in Buenos Aries
- Puerto Madero is not a place for a single person, couples and families only!
- There are not many english speaking tourists, the only people speaking English seemed to be European (not sure why they were speaking English).
- The sun may have gone down, but the air is still hot hot hot.
- Don’t walk to the bottom of Puerto Madero on the other side, The bridge across is not always open, so I had to turn around to get back across.

Well day 1 was pretty much a write off, spent most of it in the hotel either watching football or sleeping!
With that in mind, today is my first real day in BA. After 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep, I went down to have breakfast, and it was a pleasant surprise, the ultimate buffet, fresh fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, around 20 variety of cakes and pastries, sausages, bacon and choice of eggs – needless to say I was there for over 45 mins to get through it all.
Today its 27′C, but tomorrow is promising rain and a temperature of around 14′C, and as I forgot to pack any kind of coats I’ve been walking around trying to find a jacket.

Here are some pics I took along the way (click for more).

Off down to the bar for some “agua mineral con gas”, back laters!
